  I popped into this surgery to have a blood test and was seen by a wonderful Japanese lady who was kind, compassionate and warm. We chatted about our families as I professed to being nervous about needles. I then came back up to the Reception and realised I hadn't booked my ECG. So I thought, well I will book here as they seem really friendly. To my dismay, the younger Receptionist was then incredibly rude. She asked me if I was a usual client, and I said no, not usually, and she said, in the rudest way "well that means No then, doesn't it". I was taken aback and then replied "is there a problem with that"? She said "well you should go to Southern Specialists, you will get in quicker'. I have never heard of a Receptionist turning away a client. I thought it was good to get new clients. But the way this woman spoke was demeaning, cold, and dismissive. No doubt other people have been on the end of her curt behaviour. I'm afraid she doesn't suit the job. Being a Gatekeeper is surely an outdated type of behaviour, and not inclusive in a world that needs more of a sense of community and less of her snotty behaviour. The star is for the Clinpath lady.

  We and our parents have been patients of this practice for thirty years. The care is out standing. Nothing seems too much trouble and thorough explanations are very helpful.
